GoldsBURY

Richie is adventure on two legs.  If he's not out in the mountains he is dreaming of them and plotting his next epic adventure.  He epitomizes the Zerode ideals of getting out there into beautiful places and just having fun on your bike

He is as renowned for his huge smile and his epic storytelling as he is for his super smooth riding.  He also takes a pretty mean photo, have a look at his instagram and follow his adventures!

George Chapman - New ZEaland

“As a coach and racer I spend half my life on my bike and I want something that is reliable and up to the task. Not having the the constant worry of damaging and replacing derailleurs and the ability to just jump on my bike and not having to retune gears has been awesome. When it come to riding, I personally love dropping down steep rough shoots where I can truly test myself and the bike and it’s where the silence of the zerode gives me confidence to push the limits.”

Jamie

garrod

Based in Rotorua, Jamie runs New Zealand Mountain Biking. the premier mtn biking adventure and and skills outfitter in New Zealand. NZMTB has hosted groups of riders from all over the world on multi day riding trips, showcasing our best trails and adventure riding. Jamie joined the Zerode team in 2019 so that he had one of the smoothest rides around, and didn't have to spend so much time and money trying to keep his bike running smoothly and quietly.

With borders restricted, Jamie has been busy showcasing the trails in Rotorua on YouTube and has been helping the locals by running skills sessions in Rotorua.

Steve “chewy” Gould

If there’s a more enthusiastic Zerode rider around, we’re yet to meet them. Residing in Hong Kong, Steve runs Rider Learning - teaching kids essential riding skills. He also holds numerous titles in the Hong Kong racing series, including Masters Downhill Champion in 2013 and BMX Champion in 2012.

”The reason I love my Zerode Katipo 505 so much is the combination of being belt drive, having a gearbox (or more importantly no derailleur or cassette ) and being fantastically stiff makes this bike feels like a big BMX on the trails but ultimately I love how quietly this bike destroys descents with an unrivalled poise and stability.”

Lucas Walch - New zealand

Coming from a banking background and with 5 years riding under his belt, Lucas Walch has made an impact in a short space of time. This year - 2022 - he has quit his job and will be committing to competing on the EWS. Before mountain biking, Lucas came from a motorcycle enduro background and it wasn’t long after he discovered riding that his competitive streak compelled him to compete in local races. “I’ve found I have been able to take my racing to another level on my Katipo - I can’t wait to showcase it on the world stage this year!”

Max tebbs

15 Year old Max is our “young gun” rider who we reckon is going places with is incredible skill, speed and attitude. We’re proud to have him on the Zerode team.

“I get out on my bike as much as I can and having a Zerode makes that so much easier. Less time spent replacing derailleurs, oiling chains, complaining about stuck gears or chain slap, the bike is just bulletproof. This season I’m looking to enter and podium as many races as possible and learn as many new tricks as I can. Having a bike that can take my crashes time and time again has to be one of the best things about my Zerode. It means less time and money spent on fixing bikes, and more time ditching homework to ride!”
